Tanks should be minimum of 125 gallons for this species. They also require a higher pH and temperature range than most freshwater tropical fishes. The Black Shark will grow extremely large two feet in length is not uncommon. The Black Shark loves to have driftwood and plants to swim around and through. A nice hiding place is essential for this species, if kept in a aquarium with bright lighting.
